Just Add Beer!

As the heat rises this summer, so will your thirst. Whether you’re entertaining by the grill or simply looking to try something new, these creative cocktails are designed to impress and refresh. Just add beer!

Tecate Mojito
Ingredients:
12 oz. Tecate (or any similar beer)
2 tsp. lime juice
6 mint sprigs, leaves only
4 tsp. sugar syrup
2 tbsp. light rum (optional)

Preparation:
Muddle together mint, sugar syrup and lime juice in the bottom of a glass. Add rum (optional) and stir. Pour beer into glass and serve.

Sol Prickly Pear
Ingredients:
12 oz. Sol Cerveza (or any similar beer)
2 tsp. prickly pear puree
2 tsp. lime juice

Preparation:
Mix prickly pear puree and lime juice in the bottom of a glass. Pour beer into glass and serve. Drink will be reddish pink.

Carta Blanca Michelada
Ingredients:
12 oz. Carta Blanca (or any similar beer)
8-10 dashes hot sauce, or to taste
2 tsp. lime juice

Preparation:
Mix lime juice and hot sauce in the bottom of a glass. Pour beer into glass and serve.

Passion Fruit Carta Blanca
Ingredients:
12 oz. Carta Blanca (or any similar beer)
1/2 oz. passion fruit puree
3 tsp. sugar syrup
sugar rimmer

Preparation:
Rim top edge of glass with sugar. Mix passion fruit puree and sugar syrup in the bottom of a glass. Pour beer into glass and serve.

Bloody Bull Lager
Ingredients:
12 oz. Dos Equis Lager (or any similar beer)
1/2 cup spicy tomato juice
2 tsp. lime juice
2 tbsp. vodka (optional)
1 stalk celery

Preparation:
Mix lime juice, spicy tomato juice and vodka (optional) in the bottom of a glass. Pour beer into glass. Add celery stalk. Stir and serve.

Beer Bellini
Ingredients:
12 oz. any beer
2 tbsp. peach puree
2 tsp. sugar syrup

Preparation:
Mix peach puree and sugar syrup in the bottom of a glass. Pour beer into glass and serve.

Basic Beer Margarita
Ingredients:
4 cans light beer (not micro-brew)
1 can limeade
Tequila
ice

Preparation:
Fill a large pitcher or medium sized cooler 1/2 way full of ice, then slowly pour the beer into the cooler. Add limeade to mixture and stir slowly. Fill empty limeade can with tequila and add to mixture. Stir until well mixed. Serve over ice.
