Spring Fever
Banish winter blues with these yummy fruit-based cocktails
You've finished your spring cleaning and you've mailed off your taxes - now it's time to enjoy the fruits of your labor! Gather the neighbors, dust of the lawn chairs, and drink in the delicious flavors of spring with some refreshingly juicy libations.
Fruit Blast Martini Cocktail recipe
Ingredients:
1 oz. Bacardi orange rum
1 oz. Bacardi Tropico rum
1 1/2 oz. pineapple juice
1 oz. cranberry juice
Preparation:
Shake ingredients with ice, strain into a martini glass and garnish with a strawberry.
Electric Lemonade
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. vodka
1/2 oz. Blue Curacao
2 oz. sweet and sour mix
7-Up or Sprite
lemon slice
maraschino cherry
Preparation:
Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend for 15-20 seconds until smooth. Pour over a highball glass filled with ice and garnish with a lemon slice and maraschino cherry.
Cinco de Mayo Sangria
Ingredients:
2 bottles red wine
1/2 c. triple sec
1/4 c. tequila
1/4 c. sweet vermouth
1/4 c. fresh lime juice
lemons, limes and oranges (sliced)
sugar, to taste
2 c. lemon-lime soda
Preparation: Mix all ingredient, except the lemon-lime soda, in a large pitcher or punch bowl. Add fruit slices. Refrigerate for a few hours to let flavors mix. Just before serving, add sugar to adjust sweetness and pour in the soda. Serve over ice with slices of fruit. Serves 8-12
Long Island Iced Tea
Ingredients:
1/2 oz. triple sec
1/2 oz. light rum
1/2 oz. gin
1/2 oz. vodka
1/2 oz. tequila
1 oz. sour mix
cola
lemon wedge for garnish
Preparation:
Pour the spirits and sour mix into a Collins glass with ice. Stir well or shake with tin over top of the glass. Top the glass off with cola. Garnish with lemon wedge.
Kiwi Mango Mint
Ingredients:
1 part 42 Below Kiwi Vodka
5 parts mango nectar or juice
8 mint leaves
Preparation:
Fill a highball glass with ice. Add the mint leaves and vodka. Top with nectar or juice. Stir well.
